Here is a little something taken two days ago just before leaving Tokyo (more on Paris, where I am now, later)…

When we were looking for a place to eat around Harajuku with some friends, my fucked-up mind kept elaborating some interesting plots for a happening/practical joke, all involving this typical cutish japanese store, and some variation on asking for a Beagle Burger at the counter or something like that…

yea, I know, this is only mildly funny… but still, it’d be worth trying someday.

It ranks somewhere along my idea for a movie documenting the production process of Pocari Sweat (the unexplained name for a popular japanese energy drink), relying heavily on an picturesque description of the mythical “pocari”, a small furry animal forced to run in hamster-style wheels, in order to produce high quality body transpiration collected and bottled to be sold to every hip tokyoite as the eponymous drink… and this is only the short version, of course… One can imagine elaborate theories as to what would be done with all the potential energy you could draw from the wheels’ rotation… Hell: for all I know, this factory might be located under Shibuya and help power the insane amount of neons and giant LCD covering the area…
