22nd, 3pm: got all my damn xmas presents
22nd, 3:20pm: hot chocolate and good byes with S.
22nd, 4pm: walking to the station
23rd, 10am: sitting on my bed in a t-shirt, windows wide-open

… nothing beats snuggling in front of a fireplace (after paying a visit to an exhibit of very naughty things indeed at the French National Library).

Herd of bikes moving through Paris’ winter strike, Steph visiting,
Maya getting us drunk, Marc trying out vélib’…

- a dozen French riot police keeping students in line nearby my house in the Latin Quarter (a few hundreds more, parked down the street).
- some truly weird beaver that you can apparently go see at Paris’ Jardin des Plantes.
- Christmas street decorations, not a day too early, on the 1st of November.

I finaly took the time to make a wish and fill in the left eye on my daruma.
Now, according to tradition, I am to fill the right eye when my wish gets granted (better hope that taking-over-the-world plot works out).

Enjoyed an exceptionally warm September day today:
Brunch at Bouillons des Colonies with Sophie, textile shopping at St-Pierre’s market, coffee near Montmartre (she offered to make me a nifty new curtain for my bathroom: yay !), book and curio shopping at bouquinistes stalls along the Seine and white wine at George near the house… Now heading back out for outdoor dinner.
If only Parisian weather could be like that all year long.

Guess who had a lovely bento box prepared for him this morning…

We were originally planning for a mellow end-of-weekend’s nightcap but eventually got ourselves into the Golden Gai Festa special deal: 5000
yens and one free drink at any of about 30 Golden Gai watering holes
(plus no seating charge).
So glad we did too: it was an absolutely awesome evening and a great way
to discover some of those places we’d never thought of checking out
otherwise.
